facts and figures from a chess career

Amber 2007

Posted by Stefan on September 14, 2007

In his first start in the Amber blindfold/rapid event, Radjabov finished 10th of 12 participants, a slightly worse result than expected, even if he had strong players like Leko and Carlsen just ahead of him. What was most surprising was Radjabov’s comparatively weak result in the rapid half, where he only had van Wely behind him. In the blindfold section he scored 5/11, the same result as Anand.
