Radjabov drew the four classical games against Kramnik as well as the four rapid games, and went on to win the first blitz game. In the second blitz game the clock malfunctioned, and after a ten minute break Kramnik eventually managed to win the game and equalise. In the third blitz game Radjabov refused a draw offer and went on to lose. His small advantage in the fourth game turned out to be too tiny to win the game, so with a total of 5.5-6.5 he was eliminated.
